ABOUT MICROBLADING AND OMBRE

We create, recreate and perfect your brow by etching fine, detailed and life like hair strokes that blend seamlessly with your existing brow hair (if any). The line between what is real and not is blurred, and all you and anyone else sees is a complete and believable brow.

This is eyebrow tattooing but not as you know it...unlike the cliché tattooed brow of old, browography (eyebrow feathering) banishes the harsh and blocked lines that spring to mind. By not going as deep into the skin’s dermal layer, and using a fine calligraphy like pen (hence the name browography) with fine needles, versus a tattoo machine, precision and control come together with artistic skill to deliver a soft natural result.

DOES IT HURT?

We apply a topical anaesthetic before and during the procedure to maximise your comfort. Many people describe it being more like an unusual scratching feel or just a little annoying rather than painful. We provide an aftercare pack for you to ensure you can look after your brows in the best possible way.

ARE THERE ANY POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

Yes. This is why the consultation is so critical to understanding if microblading is for you. There are some simple contraindications that can be discussed over the phone even before coming in*. Many brow frustrations cannot be overcome by our Browography microblading in particular complete colour correction of old tattoo work.

WHAT ABOUT A PATCH TEST?

A patch test is done on a small section of the different body areas you want treated.

The patch test provides us with the optimal temperature for your skin.

It checks the sensitivity of the pigment to your skin.

We are looking for any adverse reactions in this time.

The patch test is complimentary.

HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED  TREATMENT?

Microblading is an investment in your brows and not a one stop lifetime solution, nor is it permanent as you may traditionally think of a tattoo. How believable, natural and fresh your brows are long term is dependent on how frequently you opt to have the colour and strokes refreshed. With a life span on average of 12 -18 months before the colour fades/dulls and the hair strokes definition fade, most people opt for a refresh every 12 months to keep their brows their best. Over time the colour and definition of the strokes will fade. The longevity of Browographis is highly dependant on how well you look after them, the integrity of your skin and it’s ability to ‘hold’ the hair stroke and colour.

YOUR MEDICAL HISTORY

You will need to give us a full medical history at the consult.

We only commence treatment if we are confident you are a medically suitable for it.

We will refer to a doctor if necessary.

There are certain contraindications to anti-wrinkle treatment which mean you cannot have the treatment. Some of these are: pregnancy, roaccutane users, recently had a peel or laser resurfacing.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?

In short there is no normal result and it is dependent on so many factors, most of all... you! Your skin type, ethnicity, general health, skin integrity, sun exposure and resistance to pigment are critical components to how Browographia will result for you. Aftercare is so critical especially in the first 10 days, following the procedure and all the hard work and investment, it can be compromised by not taking it seriously. We take extra care to ensure you understand that the investment in your brows through microblading can be completely wasted if you don’t provide us with all the relevant information or look after them.
